Quotes from the Borderline

"To grasp life and meaning, we assume constancy where it does not exist. We name experiences, emotions, and subjective states and assume that what is named is as enduring as its name. Human beings blessed and cursed with consciousness - especially consciousness of their own being - think in terms of names, words, symbols."
     ~ James F. T. Bugental

… But what happens when you no longer connect to the terms you think with?

  6. I like how the person who confuses "you're" with "your" is commenting on how to cure borderline personality disorder =P

I personally like your blog. I'm looking for competent people out there who are also walking on the borderline, somewhere between what "everyone else" experiences and insanity. I think the worst part is that at times we dip in and out of each world...and that's part of how we're stuck. We know insanity, and we know its insane...and we know "reality", but we can't connect to it.

    I just started blogging...

I look forward to reading more of your blogs...

  7. ::smiles:: Hi Blackbird. I write a lot about dissociation which is a big part of that slipping in and out of this world. At least it is for me. I relate completely to that feeling of insanity, knowing it's insance, but still not being able to do much, if anything, about it.
